Why we liked it

Aganetha Smart won a gold medal for Canada at the 1928 Olympics. Now, she’s 104 years old, living in a nursing home, but still running, in her mind. This evocative novel explores Aggie’s past and present, wins and losses. I found myself cheering for the indomitable spirit of the young girl and the old woman. A rich and satisfying story.
